I am an experienced (inter-)national consultant, specialized in advising companies on boardroom-level, involving a broad range of issues in the areas of organizational and managerial effectiveness, My background involves over 25 years of experience in managerial and executive positions in both Dutch and International companies, in the Dutch government and in one of the big four accountancy and consultancy firms. I have lived and/or worked in over 20 countries, including the United States, England, China and Japan. Next to being a consultant I am professor of business management at Nyenrode University, the Netherlands business school and chairman of CHROME, the centre for Human Resources, Organizational and Managerial Effectiveness.
I have (co-)authored a number of books/CDROMS on issues of organizational and managerial theory and practice, a.o. Value-Based Knowledge Management (1998), The Knowledge Dividend (2000), Weightless Wealth (2000), Telling It Like It Is (2002),Zero Space: Moving Beyond Organizational Limits (2002), The Seven Deadly Sins of Management (2002) and The Inhuman Touch (2004). I regularly give speeches, lectures and Master classes in Europe, Asia and the United States.
